Teflon Grease PTFE Grease PTFE Lubricant Teflon Lubricant

PTFE is the solid friction material with the lowest friction coefficient. The C-C primary bond is completely wrapped by F atoms to form a complete cylinder. This rod-shaped molecule has very little attraction between the molecules and easy to slide between molecules, thereby forming a transfer film on the surface of the friction couple.

Description of PTFE

Poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) has a strip structure in which crystal flakes and non-crystalline flakes are alternately arranged, and the non-crystalline portion is easy to slide, so the friction coefficient is small, and it is spaced between the friction pairs so that it has excellent anti-friction resistance. The grinding characteristics, therefore, PTFE can be used as a typical solid lubricating material, showing excellent performance in terms of heat resistance, wear resistance, self-lubricity, and low friction factor. Because PTFE is different from inorganic solid lubricants, PTFE is an organic polymer that does not form branches in the polymer. Its molecular contour is smooth, which makes it have a low coefficient of friction and can form a transfer on the dual surface during sliding. Membrane, therefore, the wear resistance of PTFE-based solid lubricant coatings is 5-7 times higher than that of MoS2 and graphite solid lubricant coatings.

Application of PTFE

PTFE as an engine oil additive can be added to the grease to effectively improve the anti-wear and anti-friction properties of the grease, enhance the aging properties of the grease, and enhance the high-temperature performance of the grease and form a friction polymer film. Adding PTFE lubricants, greases, and lubricants can lubricate the oil film under low speed, high temperature, and high load conditions. PTFE is also widely used in other lubrication applications. PTFE is blended with a variety of other engineering plastics to provide a solid material with excellent lubricity.

Storage Conditions of  PTFE

1) Store in a dry environment at room temperature.
2) Avoid damp and high temperature.
